The discussion was held in the Central Hall of the College of Islamic Sciences.

- Prof. Dr. Thamer Majid Abdulaziz – Chairman
- Prof. Dr. Firas Majeed Abdullah – Member
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Najib Hammadi – Member
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khalaf Hammadi – Member and Supervisor
Objectives of the Thesis:
This thesis aims to compile the jurisprudential issues with multiple opinions within the same school of thought, specifically in the sections from the Book of Guarantee to the Book of Agency in Al-Bayan by Al-‘Imrani. The study seeks to provide jurists with access to a wide range of opinions within the Shafi‘i school, enabling them to examine the evidences, weigh the views, and appreciate the diversity among the ashab al-wujuh (jurists with distinct legal opinions) within the Shafi‘i madhhab. The research also compares these views with those of other Islamic schools of law.
Key Findings:
The study concluded with several important findings, the most significant of which are:
- Al-Bayan is one of the most important works that meticulously records the multiple opinions within jurisprudential issues.
- The diversity of opinions and interpretations serves as a means to broaden the scope of ijtihad (independent reasoning) in jurisprudential matters.
After an extensive discussion of the thesis by the committee members, the thesis was accepted with a “Pass” grade (Meets Requirements).
